// ISSUE 002 — A KICKERSHOE COMIC

THE GOAT OG

An undersized goat, a ring stacked against him, and the boot forged when a beaten rival became a believer. Twelve panels follow him from a back-room gym with no name on the door to a boot built from the exact speed and grit that got him underestimated in the first place.

ENTRY 01WHO IS THE GOAT?+

Small horns for his weight class, big enough grudge to fill a stadium. Fought in gyms with no name on the door. Nobody expected him still standing by round three — let alone round twelve.

ENTRY 02THE RIVAL WHO STAYED+

The bull he flattened in the final round didn't leave angry. He came back the next morning, sat down at the workbench, and started sketching. Nobody's explained why.

ENTRY 03THE HIDDEN INSPIRATION+

The notebook's back page has a phrase circled four times, hard enough to tear the paper: "float, then sting." Nobody in this universe has ever explained who wrote it or why a boxing goat would need to float. We have a theory. We're choosing not to print it, mostly out of respect, partly out of legal advice.

ENTRY 04THE DESIGN BRIEF+

The lightweight upper trims every gram that doesn't serve footwork, because the whole design brief was speed disguised as size — a goat built like a heavyweight who moves like he isn't. The sole's rebound pattern was tuned specifically for lateral shuffle, not the straight-line sprint most boots chase, on the theory that the best exit from a punch is never backward. And the shine on the gold panel isn't for the judges. It's for the mirror, backstage, thirty seconds before the bell — the only audience that ever mattered less than the crowd and more than the scorecard.

ENTRY 05WHY GOLD?+

Because doubt looks better melted down and poured over leather. Because a name people used as an insult deserved a boot that shines back at them.

ENTRY 06THE F50 NAME+

No record of what it stands for. Some say it's a locker number. Some say it's a round count. He's never confirmed either.

ENTRY 07THE PITCH+

Internally logged as Project STING LIKE A GOAT — a name nobody signed off on and everybody kept using anyway. Presented to two combat-sportswear labels and one very confused running-shoe company. All three passed. One called it "too on the nose." It is, in fact, extremely on the nose. We consider that the whole point. If any of the three are reconsidering: the goat doesn't do rematches, but he'll take a meeting.
